Paying with food stamps

Illinois is faced with a bill that could allow restaurants to take food stamps as currency. Certain individuals on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) would qualify to use their benefits at restaurants registered with the Restaurant Meals Program (RMP). This has already been implemented in San Diego, CA and is designed to provide better access to hot and healthier food.

A new study claims that certain diets can lower the risk of dying from breast cancer. The best diets are low-fat and plant-based that include fruits, veggies, and whole grains instead of high-fat foods, red meat, and dairy. Although this diet doesn't help prevent breast cancer, it does help prevent death if diagnosed.

Remember last week, when we mentioned the infamous Starbucks' cup in GOT? Well, a few others jumped on the bandwagon to create some content. The Daily Show with Trevor Noah, The Late Night Show with Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, and the latest, SNL, all capitalized on HBO's mistake. LOL.

Netflix and chilled wine

Netflix releases Wine Country featuring all of your favorite female comedians. Amy Poehler, Emily Spivey, Paula Pell, Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, and Ana Gasteyer are a few of the familiar faces you'll see on your laptop screen. Although Rotten Tomatoes gave this Netflix original film a 63%, we would 100% get our drink on with these ladies.

Speaking of funny ladies and SNL...

Actress Emma Thompson hosts SNL and plays a judge on Chopped in one of this week's sketches. Check out the parody here to see the weird food cast members Leslie Jones and Melissa Villasenor cook up. Did we mention the Jonas Brothers were the musical guests? Raise your hand if you always thought Nick was the most delicious!

Burger King is here to cater your next traffic jam. BK announces that they will start delivering the Traffic Jam Whopper to cars stuck in LA traffic. Using motorcycles and GPS tracking, Whoppers will arrive thru your window in about 15 minutes. If successful in LA, BK will roll out this feature to other congested cities in the U.S. Remember, it's harder to yell out profanities when you're shoving a Whopper down your throat!

We got some beef with Wendy's

Last week, we told you about Chance the Rapper's Tweet that brought back Wendy's spicy chicken nuggets. This week, Amy Schumer uses Instagram to call out Wendy's for, "not protecting farmworker women from sexual assault and rape in the fields." Until Wendy's starts using ethically sourced veggies, let's #BoycottWendys.
