What would Weight Watchers do?
Weight Watchers introduces Kurbo, a weight watching program targeted towards kids. Kurbo by WW is an app designed to help children eat better and lose weight. Based off of WW's point system, Kurbo uses a traffic light visual so kids as young as 8 can realize what's "good" food (green light) or "bad" food (red light). Obviously, this came with backlash as critics are concerned that tracking food at a young age and obsessing over what to eat can cause eating disorders. I'm just thankful my mom sent me to Jesus camp instead of fat camp.
Getting jalapeño business
US Customs and Boarder Protection Agents stopped a truck filled with nearly 4 tons of marijuana from crossing into the US. The truck contained a shipment of jalapeños from Mexico that were stuffed with weed. I don't know about you, but I've never had the munchies for jalapēnos...unless we're talkin about Flamin' Hot Cheetos.
Serving up delicious food
The US Open starts today, and we get to see just how fit Serena Williams is on the big screen while we shove our faces with chips. If you happen to score tickets, you'll want to check out these hot food vendors in-between matches. We were debating buying tickets to meet the celebrity chefs and not the tennis players but then remembered we're too broke. Sounds like we'll be getting white girl wasted on Honey Deuces alone at home and we're fine with that.

Vanderpumping her stomach
SUR Restaurant, made popular by Bravo and Lisa Vanderpump's Vanderpump Rules, faces a lawsuit over a food poisoning accusation. A woman claims that back in 2017, she ordered white fish at SUR and immediately started vomiting and defecating AT THE TABLE. And like, is that how immediate food poisoning is?? Nathalie Zapata, the other owner of SUR that's not LVP, released a statement on behalf of the restaurant, citing their Health Department score and how they have no record of this incident. I'm just wondering what a girls gotta do to get on Vanderpump Rules if pooping at the table doesn't even make it on?!
Trying to be a skinny girl but then realizing you like donuts too much
Bethenny Frankel, aka Queen B, announces that she is leaving Bravo's The Real Housewives of New York City and we're eating our feelings away. The celebrity chef and owner of Skinnygirl announces that she will quit the franchise to explore her next chapter in life. Brb, drowning our tears in Skinnygirl margs.
Fast Food Frenzy
Kentucky Fried Chicken is the chicken for you and me
A week after Chick-fil-a announced their new menu item, KFC reveals something bigger, better, and unheard of until now...wait for it...wait for it... mac and cheese WITH chicken in it. Starting today, the chain is offering two new mac and cheese bowls: classic (mac topped with popcorn chicken) and spicy (same thing but with Nashville hot sauce). KFC-ing my way out the door to get both for dinner.
Confused that DoorDash is more popular than Uber Eats
DoorDash announces that they have a new policy, after receiving backlash from customers once an article came out that shed light on their tipping policy. Before this announcement, tips were going to DoorDash and not the person who delivered you your food. Not only will Dashers get 100% of their tips now, but their base pay is also increasing. We're ashamed to say that we thought tipping on these apps was optional :( we promise to do better.
